Registration Categories
- Elite – Pink Papers:
Both parents SchH/VPG or IPO title and ABST/LBST or Körung (Advanced
or Lifetime Breed Suitability Test)
All 4 grandparents with SchH/VPG or IPO titles and BST or Ztp (Breed
Suitability Test)
- Preferred – Pink Papers:
Both Parents and all 4 grandparents with SchH/VPG or IPO Titles and
BST or Ztp (Breed Suitability Test)
- Advanced – Purple Papers:
Both parents with SchH/VPG titles and BST or Ztp (Breed Suitability
Test)
- Basic – Blue Papers:
Both parents with BST or Ztp (Breed Suitability Test)
- Simple – White Papers: Any dog with an AKC, CKC, ADRK or FCI Member
Kennel Club registration.
Individual Dog Registrations
A: Individual Dog Registration-$15.00
All dogs registered with USRC must be positively identified by a tattoo
or microchip.
To register a dog with USRC, the following documents must be sent to the
Registrar along with the $15.00 registration fee.
- A completed, signed Individual Registration Application.
- A copy of the dog's AKC, CKC, ADRK or other FCI Member Kennel Club
Registration Certificate
- Copy of the dog's pedigree (optional)
- Copies of recognized hip certification (if applicable)
- A copy of scorebook showing recognized titles earned, scorebook number
and full name of dog (if applicable)
- Copies of other recognized titles earned (i.e. AmCh., Sieger, V Rating,
CGC etc.)
- Proof of sire and dam's titles if not already on file with the registry
If the dog is identified with a tattoo or microchip prior to registration
with USRC, the tattoo or microchip MUST be verified by a veterinarian,
USRC breed warden, USRC member or other person assigned by the Regional
Director or Registrar and the registration application must appropriately
completed to reflect the verification.
If the dog does not have identification, a tattoo number will
automatically be assigned by the registrar upon receipt of the application
and registration fee. A tattoo verification form with the assigned tattoo
number will be sent to the owner. After the dog is tattooed the completed
Tattoo Verification must be returned to the Registrar before the USRC
registration will be issued.
- No titles will be included on a Registration or Pedigree without proper
documentation of titles and only USRC recognized
titles and certifications will appear on certificates.
- All dogs registered with USRC will receive a registration number that
begins with the letter U.
- A minimum of three weeks must be allowed for registration. Registrations
requested in less than 10 days will be subject to a rush fee of $50.00
and will only be accepted at the Registrar's discretion.
- The Registration Certificate will be issued when all registration
requirements are met
B: Pedigree - $30.00
Pedigrees may be purchased for $30.00. USRC pedigrees are 4 generation
pedigrees and contain recorded breed tests of the first and second generation
dogs and recorded recognized titles and hip ratings on the first through
third generations.
C: Updating Registration and Pedigrees - $5.00
Registrations and pedigrees may be updated for a fee of $5.00. Updates
may be done to record change of ownership, new titles, breed tests, hip
evaluations and to elevate registration categories.
The original USRC Registration Certificate must be submitted along with
copies for proof of titles earned along with the $5.00 update fee.
Kennel and Breeder
Registrations
A: Kennel Registrations - $25.00
- The owner of a registered kennel must maintain a current USRC membership.
If at any time the kennel owner's membership is no longer current the
kennel registration will be cancelled. The kennel registration may be
reinstated by renewal of membership and a $25.00 reinstatement fee.
- A Kennel Registration Application Form must be completed, signed and
sent to the Registrar along with the $25.00 registration fee.
- No kennel name will be accepted which is already a recognized USRC
or ADRK Kennel name belonging to someone else, or which is easily mistaken
as such.
USRC Registered kennels will be assigned a kennel number preceded by the
letters KR and will receive a Registered Kennel Certificate.
B: Breeder Registrations
Kennel registrations may be updated to Breeder Registrations free of charge.
To obtain the title and status of USRC Registered Breeder, members must:
- Complete and comply with all requirements listed for USRC Kennel Registration.
- Register with USRC all future litters produced by a female owned or
co-owned by member.
- Offer only male Rottweilers at stud (owned or co-owned) that have
passed a USRC recognized breed suitability test and only breed males
to females that have passed a USRC recognized breed suitability test.
USRC Registered Breeders will be assigned a kennel number preceded by the
letters KR and will receive a Registered Breeder Certificate.
C: Violations of Breeder Regulations
Any USRC Breeder not adhering to the breeder regulations will immediately
have his breeder registration revoked by the Registrar. If there is a
violation or the breeder voluntarily requests removal from the program,
the breeder may not re-enter the program for one additional calendar year.
Litter Registrations
Litter Registration - $50
To register a litter with USRC:
- A USRC Kennel or Breeder Registration Number is required prior to
registering a litter.
- The Report of Breeding Form must be completed, signed and sent to
the Registrar.
- Within 5-6 weeks of whelping, a Litter Registration Application Form
must be completed, signed and sent to the Registrar along with the $50.00
registration fee.
- The registered kennel name must be incorporated into the individual
names of the puppies and must follow the alphabet. (i.e. If the kennel
name is “Ugly Duckling” the first litter would be your “A” litter and
all first names for this litter must start with an “A” , such as “Anca
of (or von or vom) Ugly Duckling or “Ugly Duckling’s Anca”.
- The entire litter must be positively identified with a tattoo or microchip.
If USRC tattoo numbers will be used, the numbers will be assigned upon
receipt of the completed litter application.
- Puppies should be tattooed or microchiped between six and eight weeks
of age.
- The entire litter must be seen and their identification verified by
a USRC Breed Warden, USRC Regional Director, Veterinarian or a person
assigned by the Regional Director or Registrar.
- The completed litter Certification must be sent to the Registrar.
The breeder of the litter may not do the certification of the litter.
- Registration Certificates and Pedigrees will be issued when all the
litter registration requirements are met.
