The Universal Sieger & Siegerin program has been designed to promote
the Rottweiler breeding in the United States of America, addressing both
physical qualities as well as character attributes as the foundation of
the true Rottweiler.
The information on this page is intended for general
usage and is not intended to supplant USRC rules. Please use the USRC
rulebook if you need our current official rules for personal or club
use (premiums, catalogs, etc.).
- Beginning with the year 2001, the United States Rottweiler Club will
recognize and award a “USRC Universal Sieger/Siegerin (year)” as a title
for Rottweilers.
- All Rottweilers owned by members in good standing of the United States
Rottweiler club are eligible to receive this title under the following
conditions:
- The dog must possess a USRC recognized Breed Survey.
- The dog must compete at the USRC National Schutzhund Championship
that immediately precedes the USRC National Sieger show at which the
Universal Sieger/Siegerin title is awarded.
- The dog must receive a passing score with a TSB rating of pronounced
at the National Schutzhund
Championships.
- Males must be a SchH3.
- Females must be minimum SchH1.
- The dog receiving the highest number of points combined in both events
will be declared as the “Universal
Sieger/Siegerin(year)”. A minimum of 10 points from each event
(20 points total) is necessary.
- Dogs born in USRC registered litters will receive additional 5 points.

- In the event of several dogs achieving identical points (tie), tie-breakers
shall take place in this order:
- The dog bred in the USA under United States Rottweiler Club regulations
will be favored over any other dog.
- The points received from the performance in National Schutzhund
Championships will dominate the other points.
- Males highest protection score dominates.
- Female’s higher degree dominates; in the case that the females
are of the same degree, the higher protection score dominates.
- The "Universal Sieger/Siegerin (year)" is an important title for
our breeding goals and will therefore be recognized on the registration/
pedigree of the winner and any progeny bred under the breeding rules
of the United States Rottweiler Club, and also entered into the breed
book.
- The "Universal Sieger/Siegerin" will be recognized on the front cover
of the USRC magazine within the following year of winning the award.
- The person handling the "Universal Sieger/Siegerin" in the National
Schutzhund Championship event will receive a trophy award immediately
following the declaration.
